sees Rs 25-cr premium income

Aon Global Insurance Brokers (AGISPL) expects to place Rs 25 crore worth
premium income in the first year of its operation in Pune, which could generate a
brokerage revenue of around Rs 75 lakh. "We see good business opportunities,
particularly for underwriting policies in the liability segment in Pune which is the
traditional hub for auto and the emerging destination for IT and ITeS companies,"
AGISPL chairman Prabodh Thakkar told ET. AGISPL, which started operations in India in '03,
provides a range of insurance brokerage services to corporates and industrial clients,
besides reinsurance services to insurance firms. "We will leverage on our global
expertise in M&As and enterprise risk management to service Indian MNCs in
Pune," said Wasudeo Pathak, associate vice-president, AGIPSL, and head of the
Pune office. |
